Premier Division

Ramsbottom A claimed back the top spot in the Premier Division after their 8-1 victory over Little Lever A. While Hilton Tameside, who held the top place last week lost 8-1 at Ramsbottom B. For the Rammy A team, Andy Jackson and Mark Ramsbottom trebled and Mick Moir added two, and Ron Durose won the one for Little Lever. Brian Clemments and Derek Young each won three, and Khamal Hussein two for the B team, with Phil Biggs winning the Tameside set. St Catherine’s A beat Ramsbottom C 7-2 with three wins by Pavel Orzechowski, and two apiece by Barry Crook and Bill Russell.

Lindsey Reynolds trebled for Burning Desire ,as did Nigel Hallows for Radcliffe CC but, their teams lost 5-4 to Little lever B and Wharton respectively. For Little Lever it was their first win of the season, Phil Riley and Roy Costello won two each and Ian Lansdale one.

Division One

Heaton A are top of Division One following their 8-1 win at Wingates but, the result of the St Catherine’s B match who shared top spot with Heaton last week has not been received. For Heaton Paul Ward and Steve Barber trebled and Matt Ward added two. Alan Bradbury won the one for Wingates. Nomads A beat Hilton B 6-3 with three wins by Dennis Collier two by Derek Watmough and one by Clive Taylor. Allan Tomlinson scored two and Dave Andrews one for Hilton. Lee Davenport who has moved to Ladybridge A opened his account for them with three wins, Dave Bolton and Craig Bradbury both added two to give them a 7-2 victory over Little Lever C, with John Hutchinson winning the two for the losers. Martin Holt was unbeaten for Ramsbottom C ,and Ken Hayes and Tom Ryan both scored two to give them a 7-2 win at Meadow bank whose Paul Jackson won their two.

Division Two

Grubba Fans jump to second place in Division Two, following their 7-2 win over top team Nomads B and taking maximum points from Farnworth TTC A. Nomads are now one point ahead of Grubba Fans who have a match in hand. For Grubba, Lukasz Serdiuk trebled in both matches, Damian Bednarski and Marek Maraszkiewicz won trebles against Farnworth and doubles against Nomads. Gareth Palmer winning the two sets for Nomads.

The 7-2 win by Heaton D over Meadow Hill A included three wins by John Cartledge and John Scowcroft. Chris Naylor scored three wins for Hilton C who won 6-3 at Heaton E, as did Tony Eardley for Hilton D who beat Heaton F by the same score.

Three apiece by Tim Fields and Steven Ross plus two by Matthew Fields gave Hilton E their 8-1 win against Ladybridge B. Bob Bent three wins and Jimmy Hewitt and George Mather two each for Coburg in their 7-2 victory over Little Lever D. Farnworth TTC A recorded a 7-2 win over BEN A with three win by Rene Seidel and Kirit Chauhan and one by Krishna Chauhan.

Division Three

The run away leaders of Division Three St Catherine’s D scored a maximum points win at Meadow Hill B, with their trio of Stuart McCaig Debbie Wilson and Ben Dudley all unbeaten. Hilton G in second place12 points behind St Cath’s won 8-1 at Ladybridge C with three wins by Jim Eardley and John Lawrence, and two by Jean Smart.

Previously they had beaten Meadow Hill 7-2, with three wins by Adele Spibey and two apiece by Richard Reading and John Lawrence. BEN B ran out 7-2 winners against Walkden Meths with three wins by Alan Hibbert and Jim Bollard and one by Alan Calvert. Hilton H won by the same score at Farnworth SC with a treble by Tony Mason and doubles by Alan Revel and Malcolm Wilcock. In a close match St Paul ’s Peel won 5-4 at Hilton F which featured three wins by Mick Murray and one each by David Waite and Keith Phillips, Gary Hibbert and Brain Young each winning two for the losers.

Roy Alty and Paul Spencer won three apiece for St Catherine’s E who beat Irlam 6-3.

Division Four

Farnworth TTC B recorded a resounding 9-0 win over top Division Four team Hilton J, the win moves them into a share of top place with Hilton I both with 53 points. The win featured three wins for Matthew Leach, Nathan Patel, and Sam Evans. While Hilton I were beaten 5-4 by visitors Heaton G. Phil Beales won three and Dave Jones two for Heaton , and Gordon Stone two and Les Clough and Malcolm Rose one each for Hilton. Lads Club A came out on top 6-3 against their B team with three wins by Craig Duncan two by Ashley Burton and one by Ray Isherwood, A two man Brass team won 5-4 at St Catherine’s F with a treble by Sian Thien and a double by Abdiwali Ali. Boyzone scored maximum points against Hilton K
